graphite heater optimized for a low-emittance ceb6 cathode

IPAC2015
For realizing higher charge and low emittance electron and positron beams in SuperKEKB, we have been making improvements in laser system for RF-gun. The difficulty in controlling thermomechanical distortions has been one of the most important factors for preserving high laser conversion efficiency of infrared-to-ultraviolet and operating at higher repetition rate.

Poor wetting is caused by the very low surface energy of the as-produced graphite nano-reinforcements. Opportunities exist for modifying the surface chemistry and energy of nano-reinforcements that will allow improved wetting and provide a means for chemical bonding at the interface with high temperature polymers such as PMR-II-50 polyimide.

The T2K Experiment – arXiv Vanity
The T2K experiment is a long-baseline neutrino oscillation experiment. Its main goal is to measure the last unknown lepton sector mixing angle θ13 by observing νe appearance in a νμ beam. It also aims to make a precision measurement of the known oscillation parameters, dms23 and sstt23, via numu disappearance studies. Other goals of the experiment include various neutrino cross

Accelerator Engineering and Technology: Accelerator
Symmetries cause cancellation effects, resulting in low (ideally zero) non-allowed multipoles when compared to the multipoles allowed by the magnet symmetry. Selected multipoles can be further reduced by using design features such as optimization of the coil and iron geometry, or corrections such as passive and active magnetic shims.

The heater tubes and cooler tubes are connected to each other through the regenerator, which is usually composed of small cylinders filled with a fine wire matrix. At any instant, the internal working-fluid pressure is essentially uniform, since the working spaces formed by the two pistons are connected to each other through the cooler tubes, regenerator, and heater tubes.

The benefits of this architecture are (1) reduced weight, (2) simplified assembly of fewer parts, and (3) the opportunity to scale the grids to large area for high-thrust engines. Glassy carbon grids will be investigated because it offers low sputter-yield, low-CTE, and

Injector linac at KEK is now under the way to produce high current and low emittance beams for SuperKEKB. The target luminosity for SuperKEKB is 40 times higher than that of KEKB. Short-range transverse wakefield and dispersive effects at the linac cause an emittance growth, and longitudinal wakefield effect enlarges an energy spread of the beams.

2018/6/17We assume that a hot cathode ion gauge can be made more stable by using an electron source for introducing an accelerated electron beam into the ionization volume in a straight path. By doing so, the electron trajectories, kinetic energy and current inside the ionization volume could be well defined and stable. The electron beam should have an energy of about 200 eV for stable ionizing the gas.
